& HOW CAN WE RECLAIM IT FOR COLLECTIVE GOOD?

 If Regenerative Creativity is the ‘HOW’ of my methodology, then ‘ARTISTIC SOVEREIGNTY’ is the why. I believe that art will save the world; that a great awakening is upon us and that we are being given an opportunity to co-architect a harmonious, healing future. 

If art will save the world, however, we need our artists to be healthy. And, largely, they are not. We are not taught to love ourselves, to honor ourselves, or to know our inner voices. We may know what we want, but we have no idea how to get there. We give away our power to those who we think know more. Even fame (an alleged marker of success) becomes a prison, rather than a prism of opportunity. Pressure to perform with perfection is crippling and paralyzing. There is no community at the top of our artistic fields. 

What’s going on here? What’s underlying all of this self-doubt, stagnation, disconnection, and lack of clarity? The absence of artistic sovereignty. 

So, how do we get it back?

ARTISTIC SOVEREIGNTY IS ABOUT AWAKENING, REMEMBERING OUR INNER VOICES, RECLAIMING OUR CREATIVE POWER, AND STEPPING INTO CREATIVE COMMAND OF OUR CAREERS.

It’s about leaving artistic bondage & oppression behind and making the bold choices required to take our story back; to reclaim all the parts of ourselves we gave away in exchange for what we thought was momentum, opportunity, or acceptance in the industry. 

We’ve seen the cautionary tales: Jean Michael Basquiat, Whitney Houston, Mac Miller. They gave their power away. Not only did they suffer consequentially, but the world missed out on the Great Art that would have come from their fully-realized artistic journeys. 

 WHAT IS

REGENERATIVE CREATIVITY

& WHY IS IT SO NEEDED RIGHT NOW?

Creativity (our life-giving power as humans) survives off the same cycles that you see at work in nature: germination, spring birth, summer growth, autumnal harvest, death as release, dormant winter, and (in due time) complete renewal. This cycle is a life-sustaining ecosystem. 

A seed would never survive, let alone thrive, in an eternal summer. 
Why, then, do we expect an artist to perform at peak, on repeat? 
And how could we expect this exhausted art to be life-giving for its audiences?

We are out of sync with nature and disconnected from our power. Burnout & massive health issues are endemic across the music, entertainment, arts, and wellness industries. Yet, we continue to keep pace with a broken culture. Listen. Look closer. You’ll notice that you are hearing the same songs and the same stories, on repeat. Creativity’s chi has run dry. Incredible talents have died in front of our eyes. 

It’s time that GREAT ARTISTS, the illuminators of our time, are released from these blocked systems and redirected to sensuously transformative environments. So that they can, in turn, create art that heals & harmonizes a world in need.

My immersive process is mapped across nature’s intelligent cycles, supporting the artist through the periods of messy dissolution & necessary darkness --- just as much as we celebrate the artist in moments of great creation & growth.
